ഗുരു രവിദാസിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജയന്തി ദിനത്തില് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി പ്രണാമമര്പ്പിച്ചു.
‘ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജിയെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജയന്തിയില് ഞാന് വണങ്ങുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടില് ജന്മമെടുത്ത ഏറ്റവും മഹാനായ സന്യാസിവര്യന്മാരിലൊരാളാണ് ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജി. സമത്വവും, നീതിയുക്തവും അനുകമ്പയുമുള്ള ഒരു സമൂഹത്തിനായി അദ്ദേഹം നിലകൊണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അധ്യാപനങ്ങള് കാലത്തെ അതിജയിക്കുന്നതും സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ മേഖലകളിലുമുള്ള ജനങ്ങളെ സ്പര്ശിക്കുന്നതുമാണ്.
നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തില് നിരവധി ഗുണപരമായ മാറ്റങ്ങള് അദ്ദേഹം സാധ്യമാക്കി. പുരാതനവും പ്രതിലോമകരവുമായ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളെ അദ്ദേഹം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുകയും കാലത്തിനൊത്ത് മാറാന് ജനങ്ങളെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അന്വേഷണത്തിനുള്ള ഈ ത്വരയും കാലത്തിനൊത്ത് മാറുന്നതിന് നല്കിയ ഊന്നലും ഏറെ മഹത്തരമാണ്.
ഐക്യത്തിന്റെയും സാഹോദര്യത്തിന്റെയും മൂല്യങ്ങളില് ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജിക്ക് ഇളക്കം തട്ടാത്ത വിശ്വാസമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു തരത്തിലുമുള്ള വിവേചനങ്ങളിലും അദ്ദേഹം വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. ‘എല്ലാവര്ക്കുമൊപ്പം, എല്ലാവരുടെയും വികസനം’ എന്ന മുദ്രാവാക്യവുമായി നാം മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുമ്പോള് എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരെയും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് പാവങ്ങളെ സേവിക്കുന്നതിന് പ്രാമുഖ്യം നല്കിയ ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജി നമ്മെ ഏറെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
ഇന്ന് ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജിയുടെ ഈ വാക്കുകള് പങ്കുവെക്കാന് ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു:
ऐसा चाहूँ राज मैं जहाँ मिलै सबन को अन्न।
छोट बड़ो सब सम बसै, रैदास रहै प्रसन्न।।
എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടത്ര ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാന് ലഭ്യമാവുകയും എല്ലാവരും സന്തോഷവാന്മാരായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഗുരു രവിദാസ് ജി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു’,- പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.

Guru Ravidas Ji ushered in several positive changes in our society. He questioned practices that were archaic and regressive, and inspired people to change with the times. This spirit of inquiry and emphasis on moving with the times makes extremely great.
