गुरु रविदास जयंतीनिमित्त पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आदरांजली अर्पण केली आहे.
जयंतीनिमित्त गुरु रविदास यांना नमन, गुरु रविदास हे आपल्या भूमीवरचे एक महान संत होते. समता, न्याय आणि करुणेला थारा असणाऱ्या समाजासाठी ते झटले. त्यांची शिकवण शाश्वत असून आजच्या काळासाठीही ती उपयुक्त आहे.
गुरु रविदासजी यांनी आपल्या समाजात अनेक सकारात्मक बदल घडवले. काळाच्या मागे असणाऱ्या प्रथांबाबत प्रश्न उपस्थित करुन काळाशी सुसंगत बदल घडवण्यासाठी त्यांनी जनतेला स्फूर्ती दिली. त्यांचे हे कार्य महान आहे.
सलोखा, आणि बंधुत्वाच्या मूल्यांवर गुरु रविदास यांचा दृढ विश्वास होता. भेदभावाला त्यांनी कधीच थारा दिला नाही. सबका साथ, सबका विकास हे तत्व घेऊन आपण वाटचाल करत आहोत त्यामागे गुरु रविदास यांच्या, मानवाची विशेषत: गरीबांची सेवा करण्याच्या तत्वाची प्रेरणा आहे असे पंतप्रधानांनी म्हटले आहे.
गुरु रविदास यांचे वाचन आपण नमूद करु इच्छितो,
ऐसा चाहूँ राज मैं जहाँ मिलै सबन को अन्न।
छोट बड़ो सब सम बसै, रैदास रहै प्रसन्न।।
प्रत्येकाला अन्न मिळावे आणि प्रत्येक व्यक्तीने प्रसन्न राहावे अशीच रविदास यांची कामना आहे, असे पंतप्रधानांनी म्हटले आहे.
