குரு ரவிதாஸ் ஜெயந்தியை முன்னிட்டு பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினார்.
குரு ரவிதாஸ் அவர்களின் ஜெயந்தியை முன்னிட்டு நான் அவருக்குத் தலை வணங்குகிறேன். நமது நாட்டில் பிறந்த மிகச் சிறந்த துறவிகளில் ஒருவர் குரு ரவிதாஸ். சமத்துவம் நீதி மற்றும் கழிவிறக்கம் நிறைந்த சமூகத்திற்காக பாடுபட்டவர் இவர். இவருடைய போதனைகள் எல்லாக் காலங்களுக்கும் சமூகத்தின் அனைத்துப் பிரிவினர்களுக்கும் பொருத்தமாகும்.
நமது சமூகத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட பல்வேறு மாற்றங்களில் குரு ரவிதாஸின் பங்கு மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும். தொன்மையான, பிற்போக்கான பழக்கங்கள் குறித்து கேள்வி எழுப்பிய அவர் மாறிவரும் காலங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப தங்களை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளும் வகையில் மக்களுக்கு ஊக்குவித்தார். எந்தவிதமான பாகுபாடுகளிலும் அவருக்கு நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. அனைவரும் இணைவோம் அனைவரும் உயர்வோம் என்ற லட்சியத்துடன் நாம் பாடுபடும்போது குரு ரவிதாஸ் அவர்கள் லட்சியமான மனிதகுலத்திற்கு குறிப்பாக ஏழைகளுக்கு ஆற்றும் சேவையால் எழுச்சியூட்டப்படுகிறோம்.
இன்று குரு ரவிதாஸ் அவர்களின் வரிகளை நான் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.
ऐसा चाहूँ राज मैं जहाँ मिलै सबन को अन्न।
छोट बड़ो सब सम बसै, रैदास रहै प्रसन्न।।
ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் போதுமான அளவு உணவு மற்றும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கும் நாள் அமைய வேண்டும் என்று குரு ரவிதாஸ் அவர்கள் கனவு கண்டார் என்று பிரதமர் கூறியுள்ளார்.
