ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ദൈര്ഘ്യമേറിയ തുരങ്ക റോഡായ ജമ്മു കശ്മീരിലെ ചെനാനി-നാഷ്രി പാത പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി രാഷ്ട്രത്തിനു സമര്പ്പിച്ചു. ഒന്പതു കിലോമീറ്ററാണു പാതയുടെ ദൈര്ഘ്യം.
തുരങ്കപ്പാതയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ച പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിക്കു മുമ്പില് പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രധാന സവിശേഷതകള് വിശദീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
ഉധംപൂരില് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട പൊതുയോഗത്തില് പ്രസംഗിക്കവേ,
ലോകനിലവാരത്തിലുള്ളതും ഏറ്റവും മേന്മയാര്ന്നതും ആണ് ഈ പാതയെന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. പരിസ്ഥിതിസൗഹൃദപരമായ പാത ആഗോളതാപനത്തിനെതിരെ പോരാടുന്നതിനു സഹായകമാകുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട ചില യുവാക്കള് കല്ലെറിയുമ്പോള് കശ്മീരിന്റെ യുവത്വം അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യവികസനത്തിനു കല്ലു പാകുകയാണെന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. തുരങ്കപ്പാത, വിനോദസഞ്ചാരത്തെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും അതുവഴി സാമ്പത്തിക വളര്ച്ച സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
അക്രമത്തിനും തീവ്രവാദത്തിനും ആരെയും ഒരിക്കലും സഹായിക്കാന് സാധിക്കില്ലെന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ജമ്മു കശ്മീര് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ശ്രീമതി മെഹബൂബ മുഫ്തിക്കു നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞ അദ്ദേഹം, സംസ്ഥാനത്തിനായി കേന്ദ്ര ഗവണ്മെന്റ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പ്രത്യേക പാക്കേജ് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തിയാണു പദ്ധതിപ്രവര്ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചതെന്നു വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
മുന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. അടല് ബിഹാരി വാജ്പേയിയുടെ വീക്ഷണവും പ്രവര്ത്തനവും ഓര്മിപ്പിച്ച പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, കേന്ദ്ര ഗവണ്മെന്റിന്റെ ഏക മന്ത്രം വികസനമാണെന്നും അതു ജനപങ്കാളിത്തത്തിലൂടെ നേടിയെടുക്കാന് സാധിക്കുമെന്നും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു.
