Prime Minister says ‘Seva Teerth’ will stand as a symbol of duty, compassion and commitment to India First

وزیر اعظم جناب نریندر مودی نے آج سیوا تیرتھ کو قوم کے نام وقف کرتے ہوئے ہندوستان کے عوام کی خدمت کرنے کے اپنے عزم مصمم کا اعادہ کیا اور اس کی رہنمائی کرنے والی قوت کے طور پر ’ناگریک دیو بھو‘ کے متبرک جذبے کو اجاگر کیا ۔

جناب مودی نے اظہار خیال کیا کہ سیوا تیرتھ کی لگن عوامی خدمت اور شہریوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے تئیں گہرے عزم کی عکاسی کرتی ہے ۔

وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ ’سیوا تیرتھ‘  انڈیا فرسٹ کے اصول کے تئیں فرض ، ہمدردی اور عزم کی ایک روشن اور طاقتور علامت کے طور پر کھڑا ہے ۔

انہوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ یہ نسلوں کو سب کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے بے لوث خدمت اور انتھک لگن کے راستے پر چلنے کی ترغیب دے گا  اور لوگوں کو ہر شہری کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے لگن کے ساتھ آگے بڑھنے کی ترغیب دیتا رہے گا ۔

’’ہندوستان کے عوام کی خدمت کرنے کے عزم مصمم اور ناگرک دیو بھو کے مقدس جذبے کی رہنمائی کے ساتھ ، سیوا تیرتھ کو قوم کو وقف کرنے کا اعزاز حاصل ہوا۔

دعا ہے کہ سیوا تیرتھ ہمیشہ فرض ، ہمدردی ، انڈیا فرسٹ کے اصول سے وابستگی کی ایک روشن علامت کے طور پر کھڑا رہے ۔  یہ نسلوں کو سب کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے بے لوث خدمت اور انتھک لگن کے راستے پر چلنے کی ترغیب دے ‘‘۔= 

“देशवासियों की सेवा के अटूट संकल्प और 'नागरिक देवो भव' की पावन भावना को साथ लेकर, आज ‘सेवा तीर्थ’ को राष्ट्र को समर्पित करने का सौभाग्य मिला।

‘सेवा तीर्थ’ कर्तव्य, करुणा और ‘राष्ट्र प्रथम’ के लिए हमारी प्रतिबद्धता का सशक्त प्रतीक है।

मेरी कामना है कि यह आने वाली पीढ़ियों को निःस्वार्थ सेवा और जन-जन के कल्याण के लिए समर्पित होकर आगे बढ़ने को प्रेरित करता रहे।”

State Visit of Prime Minister to Seychelles

As part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s State Visit to Seychelles from 27-29 June 2026, Prime Minister and the President of Seychelles, H.E. Dr. Patrick Herminie today held official talks at the State House in Victoria, Mahe.

The talks covered the full spectrum of bilateral relations, with the leaders agreeing to further strengthen cooperation in health, education, capacity building, digital transformation, sustainable development, social infrastructure, renewable energy, maritime security and defence. They also exchanged views on regional and global developments, including challenges in the Indian Ocean region, such as illegal fishing, drug trafficking and piracy. Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the progress made in the implementation of projects and initiatives under the Special Economic Package announced by India. Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting the development priorities of Seychelles and to further deepen the close and enduring partnership between the two countries.

Following the official talks, both leaders released a joint commemorative logo marking 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Several MoUs/agreements in the fields of Capacity Building, UPI, Health, Agriculture, Shipping, Space, Extradition and Line of Credit were exchanged thereafter. In addition, several announcements in the fields of food security, infrastructure, health, vocational training, maritime security and defence were made in support of the development needs of Seychelles. The details of these announcements may be seen here [link]. Seychelles also announced that it is joining the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure [CDRI].

Later in the day, Prime Minister addressed an Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of Seychelles, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to do so. In his address, he highlighted the historical bonds of friendship between India and Seychelles and underscored the shared values of democracy, rule of law and people-centric governance that guide the two countries. He noted that mutual trust and close cooperation have shaped a robust partnership spanning development cooperation, maritime security, technology, innovation, health and capacity building. The Leader of Opposition of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Bernard Georges, also called on Prime Minister. The two leaders discussed India-Seychelles bilateral ties and conveyed their strong support to further build the special friendship between the two countries.
