PM Inaugurates Technology Demonstration Site at Kevadia

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,inaugurated the Technology Demonstration Site at Kevadia in Gujarat, today.

Technological Demonstration Site consisted ofvarious displays by Police and Paramilitary forces, showcasing modern technologies including the exhibition of lethal and non-lethal arms.

CISF, CRPF, BSF,NSG and various State police contingents displayed their modern technology centering on various themes like aviation security, modernization of forces, digital initiatives etc.

While CISF’s themecenteredonintegratingmodern technologywith a focus on faster and efficient facial recognition technology at airports, NSG showcased the security kits, modernweaponry and remote controlled vehicles and equipment.

Ministry of Home Affairs prominently displayed the initiative of ‘112’, signifying one number for all emergencies. The highlights of MHA display were National Database on Sexual Offenders, e-Mulaqat and other digital initiatives.

The CRPF stall displayed the gallantry medals and honours received by the CRPF personnel. The history displaying the saga of valour since 1939 and memorable battles fought by CRPF were also exhibited.

Prime Minister also visited the exhibitions by Gujarat Police, which showcased the Vishwas project and modern technology gears. Delhi Police highlighted the digital initiatives while the J&K police exhibited security vehicles used for ensuring the safety and security of the nation.

In line with his commitment to developing world-class air infrastructure and enhancing connectivity, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) 81st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2nd June, at around 5 PM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

The IATA 81st Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) will be held from 1st to 3rd June. The last AGM in India was held 42 years ago in 1983. It brings together more than 1,600 participants including top global aviation industry leaders, government officials and international media representatives.

The World Air Transport Summit will focus on key issues facing the aviation industry including Economics of the Airline industry, Air Connectivity, Energy Security, Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production, Financing Decarbonisation, Innovations among others. The aviation leaders and media representatives from around the world will also get to witness India's remarkable transformation in the aviation landscape and its contribution to the country's socio - economic development.
