മന്ത്രിസഭയിലെ തന്റെ സഹപ്രവര്ത്തകനായ മന്ത്രി ശ്രീ ജി. കിഷന് റെഡ്ഡിയുടെ വസതിയില് നടന്ന സംക്രാന്തി, പൊങ്കല് ആഘോഷങ്ങളില് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഇന്ന് പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഇന്ത്യയിലുടനീളമുള്ള ജനങ്ങള് വളരെ ആവേശത്തോടെയാണ് സംക്രാന്തിയും പൊങ്കലും ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ''നമ്മുടെ സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെ കാര്ഷിക പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങളില് ആഴത്തില് വേരൂന്നിയ കൃതജ്ഞതയുടെയും സമൃദ്ധിയുടെയും നവീകരണത്തിന്റെയും ആഘോഷമാണിത്'', പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ മോദി പറഞ്ഞു.
