પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે (30 મે, 2018) જકાર્તામાં ભારતીય સમુદાયને સંબોધન કર્યું હતું. તેમણે આ સંબોધનમાં ભારત અને ઇન્ડોનેશિયા વચ્ચેના વિશેષ સંબંધોનો ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો હતો અને આ અગાઉ નવી દિલ્હીમાં યોજાયેલ પ્રજાસત્તાક દિનની ઉજવણીની યાદ અપાવી હતી, જેમાં ઇન્ડોનેશિયા સહિતના 10 આસિયાન દેશોના નેતાઓ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. તેમણે નોંધ લીધી હતી કે વર્ષ 1950ની નવી દિલ્હીની પ્રજાસત્તાક દિનની પરેડમાં ઇન્ડોનેશિયાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ મુખ્ય મહેમાન હતા તે કોઈ યોગાનુયોગ ન હતો.

તેમણે કહ્યું કે ઇન્ડોનેશિયામાં ભારતીય સમુદાયના લોકો ઇન્ડોનેશિયાના ગૌરવશાળી નાગરિકો છે, પરંતુ પોતાનાં ભારતીય મૂળ સાથે જોડાયેલા રહેવાની ઈચ્છા ધરાવે છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે છેલ્લા 4 વર્ષમાં ભારતમાં એક બેજોડ પરિવર્તન જોવા મળ્યું છે. આ સંદર્ભમાં તેમણે સીધા મૂડીરોકાણ, ભારતીય અર્થતંત્રના ખૂલ્લાપણાની, વ્યાપાર-વાણિજ્યમાં સરળતાની અને ભારતીય અર્થતંત્રની સ્પર્ધાત્મકતાની વાત કરી હતી.

તેમણે કહ્યું કે બંને દેશો પોતાની લોકશાહીની લાક્ષણિકતા અને વૈવિધ્ય માટે ગૌરવ અનુભવે છે. તેમણે બાલી-જાત્રા અને આહાર તથા ભાષામાં સમાનતાનાં ઉદાહરણો આપી બંને દેશો વચ્ચેના ઘનિષ્ઠ સાંસ્કૃતિક સંબંધો અંગેની વાત કરી હતી. તેમણે એ બાબતની નોંધ લીધી હતી કે, આ અગાઉ દિવસ દરમિયાન તેમણે અને રાષ્ટ્રપતિ વિડોડોએ સંયુક્તપણે રામાયણ અને મહાભારતના વિષયો ઉપર આધારિત પતંગ પ્રદર્શનનું ઉદઘાટન કર્યું હતું.

ભારતમાં થયેલી પ્રગતિ અંગેની વાત કરતાં તેમણે કહ્યું કે કેન્દ્ર સરકાર એવી પ્રણાલીઓની રચના કરી રહી છે કે જે વિકાસલક્ષી અને ભ્રષ્ટાચારથી મુક્ત હોય. તેમણે કહ્યું કે વ્યાપાર-વાણિજ્યમાં સરળતાથી આગળ વધીને હવે જીવન જીવવાની સરળતાના મુદ્દે ધ્યાન આપવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. અમારી પ્રક્રિયાઓ પારદર્શક અને સંવેદનશીલ હોય છે તેવુ તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું. તેમણે માળખાગત સુવિધાઓ સહિતની વિવિધ બાબતોમાં જે મહત્વપૂર્ણ પરિવર્તન થયું છે તે અંગે વાત કરી હતી. તેમણે ભારતની જીવંત સ્ટાર્ટઅપ વ્યવસ્થાની અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય સૌર ગઠબંધનની વાત કરી હતી.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું હતું કે જ્યારે જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોને મદદ કરવાની વાત આવે છે ત્યારે ભારત અને ઇન્ડોનેશિયા બંને દેશો સંવેદનશીલ અભિગમ ધરાવે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે ભારત કોઈના પાસપોર્ટનો રંગ જોતો નથી અને જરૂરીયાતમંદ તમામ માનવ બંધુઓને મદદ કરે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે ભારત અને ઇન્ડોનેશિયાના નામમાં માત્ર પ્રાસ છે એટલું જ નહી પણ બંને પોતાની સંસ્કૃતિ, પરંપરા અને લોકતાંત્રિક મૂલ્યોમાં એક સરખો પ્રાસ ધરાવે છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ભારતીય સમુદાયને ભારતની મુલાકાત લેવા અને ભારતમાં જે ફેરફારો થઈ રહ્યા છે તેની માહિતી પ્રાપ્ત કરવા માટે આમંત્રણ પાઠવ્યું હતું.
