PM Modi effectively uses radio to directly communicate with people: Arun Jaitley

Two books on PM Narendra Modi were released by Lok Sabha Speaker and first copies were handed over to President Pranab Mukherjee. While addressing a gathering, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that India was looking for decisive leadership in 2014. Appreciating the Prime Minister for Mann Ki Baat, he said, “Over the years the radio saw decline. But it was the PM who spotted the strength of the radio as a medium. The Prime Minister uses the radio to directly communicate with the people.”

Prime Minister condoles the passing of Shri Fauja Singh

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today condoled the passing of Shri Fauja Singh, whose extraordinary persona and unwavering spirit made him a source of inspiration across generations. PM hailed him as an exceptional athlete with incredible determination.

In a post on X, he said:

“Fauja Singh Ji was extraordinary because of his unique persona and the manner in which he inspired the youth of India on a very important topic of fitness. He was an exceptional athlete with incredible determination. Pained by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and countless admirers around the world.”
