उत्कृष्ट संसदपटू पुरस्कार सोहळ्याला पंतप्रधान उपस्थित

नवी दिल्लीत भारतीय संसदीय समूहाने आयोजित केलेल्या ‘उत्कृष्ट संसदपटू पुरस्कार’ सोहोळ्याला पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी उपस्थित होते. संसदेच्या मध्यवर्ती सभागृहात राष्ट्रपती राम नाथ कोविंद यांच्या हस्ते उत्कृष्ट संसदपटू पुरस्कार वितरित करण्यात आले. उपराष्ट्रपती एम. वेंकय्या नायडू आणि लोकसभेच्या सभापती सुमित्रा महाजन हे देखील यावेळी उपस्थित होते.

पुरस्कार विजेत्यांचे अभिनंदन करतांना पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की, त्यांनी देशासाठी आणि संसदेसाठी दिलेले योगदान नेहमीच स्मरणात राहील. या असाधारण संसदपटूंबरोबर काम करण्याची आणि त्यांच्याकडून शिकण्याची संधी मिळाली हा मी बहुमान समजतो.

संसद १२५ कोटी भारतीयांच्या स्वप्नांचे आणि त्यांच्या आकांक्षांचे प्रतिनिधित्व करते. संसदेत जे बोलले जाते ते अतिशय महत्वाचे असते आणि त्यामुळे सरकार आणि धोरणकर्त्यांना महत्वाच्या समस्यांवर तोडगा काढण्यास मदत मिळते असेही त्यांनी नमूद केले.

यावेळी बोलताना पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की संसदेच्या कामकाजात येणाऱ्या अडथळ्यांमुळे सामान्य माणूस आणि त्याचे प्रतिनिधित्व करणाऱ्या खासदारांचे नुकसान होते. हे अडथळे सरकारपेक्षा देशाचे अधिक नुकसान करणारे असते असे ते म्हणाले.

पंतप्रधान पुढे म्हणालेत की, संसदेचे कामकाज सुरळीत चालावे हे सुनिश्चित करण्याची जबाबदारी संसदपटूंची आहे जेणेकरून प्रत्येक खासदाराला बोलण्याची आणि इतिहासाचा भाग बनण्याची संधी मिळेल.
