राज्यसभेच्या उपसभापतीपदी हरीवंश यांची आज निवड झाल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधानांनी त्यांची अभिनंदन केले.

निवडणुकीनंतर पंतप्रधानांनी वरिष्ठ सदनात भाषण केले. सभागृह नेते अरुण जेटली यांची प्रकृती सुधारुन ते पुन्हा सदनात कार्यरत होत असल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधानांनी आनंद व्यक्त केला.

आजच्या ऑगस्ट क्रांती दिनाचाही पंतप्रधानांनी उल्लेख केला. हरीवंशजी 1857 च्या स्वातंत्र्यसमरापासून स्वातंत्र्यलढ्याशी जोडल्या गेलेल्या बलिया इथले आहेत. लोकनायक जयप्रकाश नारायण यांच्यापासून त्यांनी प्रेरणा घेतली आहे.

हरीवंशजी यांनी माजी पंतप्रधान चंद्रशेखरजी यांच्याबरोबर काम केले असल्याची आठवण पंतप्रधानांनी सांगितली.

चंद्रशेखर यांच्याबरोबर काम करत असताना, चंद्रशेखर राजीनामा देणार असल्याचे हरीवंश यांना आधीच माहिती होते. मात्र या बातमीचा त्यांनी स्वत:च्या वृत्तपत्रालाही सुगावा लागू दिला नाही. यातून नैतिकता आणि सार्वजनिक सेवेविषयी त्यांची प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त होते; असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.

हरीवंश उत्तम वाचक असून त्यांनी विपूल लिखाण केले आहे. हरीवंश यांनी समाजाची अनेक वर्ष सेवा केल्याचे पंतप्रधानांनी सांगितले.

राज्यसभेच्या उपसभापतीपदाच्या निवडणुकीत भाग घेतल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधानांनी बी.के.हरीप्रसाद यांचे अभिनंदन केले. निवडणूक सुरळीतपणे पार पडल्याबद्दल सभापती आणि सर्व सदस्यांचे पंतप्रधानांनी आभार मानले.

Prime Minister greets all CRPF personnel on their Raising Day

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today extended his greetings to all CRPF personnel on their Raising Day. He stated that the CRPF has distinguished itself through its unwavering courage and commitment to duty.

Shri Modi noted that from safeguarding internal security to serving citizens during challenging situations, CRPF personnel have always placed the nation first. He highlighted that their efforts in eliminating the menace of Maoism are particularly notable and have contributed to peace and progress in the lives of several people.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister shared:
