पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज संसदेच्या सेंट्रल हॉलमध्ये राष्ट्रीय लोक प्रतिनिधी परिषदेला संबोधित केले. प्रत्येक राज्यात असे काही जिल्हे असतात, जिथे विकासाला अधिक वाव असतो. त्यांच्यापासून आपण शिकू शकतो आणि मागास जिल्ह्यांसाठी काम करु शकतो.
स्पर्धात्मकता आणि सहकारी संघटनेची भावना देशासाठी चांगली आहे.
लोकसहभागाची नेहमीच मदत होते. ज्या-ज्या ठिकाणी अधिकाऱ्यांनी जनतेबरोबर काम केले आणि त्यांना विकास प्रक्रियेत सहभागी करुन घेतले, तिथे परिवर्तनीय परिणाम दिसून आले आहेत.
जिल्ह्यांमध्ये कुठल्या क्षेत्रात सुधारणा हव्या आहेत ते शोधून त्यावर तोडगा काढायला हवा.
आपण जिल्ह्यांमध्ये एखादी बाब जरी बदलायचा निर्णय घेतला तरी अन्य त्रुटींवर काम करण्यासाठी आपल्याला चालना मिळेल. आपल्याकडे मनुष्यबळ आहे, कौशल्य आहे आणि संसाधनेही आहेत. आपण अभियान स्वरुपात काम केले पाहिजे आणि सकारात्मक बदल घडवून आणायला हवा. सामाजिक न्याय हे आपले उद्दिष्ट आहे.
महत्वाकांक्षी जिल्ह्यांवर काम केल्यामुळे मानव विकास निर्देशांक क्रमवारीत भारताच्या मानांकनात सुधारणा होईल.
सभापती सुमित्रा महाजन यांनी हाती घेतलेला ‘लोकप्रतिनिधींची परिषद’ हा स्तुत्य उपक्रम आहे. महत्वाच्या मुद्यांवर चर्चा करण्यासाठी विविध राज्यातील लोकप्रतिनिधी एकत्र आले आहेत ही चांगली गोष्ट आहे’, असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.
