પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે સંસદનાં કેન્દ્રિય હોલમાં રાષ્ટ્રીય જનપ્રતિનિધિ સંમેલનને સંબોધન કર્યું હતું. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું હતું કે, “દરેક રાજ્યમાં કેટલાંક એવા જિલ્લાં છે, જ્યાં વિકાસ માપદંડ મજબૂત છે. આપણે તેમાંથી શીખવું જોઈએ અને નબળા જિલ્લા પર કામ કરવું જોઈએ.
સ્પર્ધા અને સહકારી સંઘવાદની ભાવના દેશ માટે સારી બાબત છે.
જનભાગીદારીથી હંમેશા મદદ મળે છે. જ્યાં અધિકારીઓએ લોકો સાથે મળીને કામ કર્યું છે અને તેમને વિકાસની પ્રક્રિયા સાથે જોડ્યું છે, ત્યાં પરિવર્તનકારક પરિણામ મળ્યાં છે.
આ માટે જરૂરી છે કેજેજિલ્લામાં સુધારાની જરૂર છે તેવા ક્ષેત્રોની ઓળખ કરવામાં આવે અને પછી ખામીઓને દૂર કરવામાં આવે.
જો આપણે જિલ્લાઓનાં એક પાસાંમાં ફેરફાર કરવાનો નિર્ણય લઈએ તો આપણે બીજા જરૂરિયાતો પૂરી કરવા માટે પણપ્રેરિત કરી શકીશું.
આપણી પાસે શ્રમ શક્તિ છે, આપણી પાસે કૌશલ્ય અને સંસાધન છે. આપણે મિશન મોડમાં કામ કરવા અને એક સકારાત્મક પરિવર્તન લાવવાની જરૂર છે. આપણું લક્ષ્ય સામાજિક ન્યાય છે.
મહત્વાકાંક્ષીજિલ્લાઓમાં કામ કરવાથી એચડીઆઈ (માનવ વિકાસ સૂચકાંક)માં ભારતની સ્થિતિમાં સુધારો થશે.
જનપ્રતિનિધિઓનું આ સંમેલન લોકસભાનાં અધ્યક્ષ સુમિત્રા મહાજનજી દ્વારા એક પ્રશંસનીય પહેલ છે. આ બહુ સારી બાબત છે કે વિવિધ જિલ્લાઓનાં જનપ્રતિનિધિ મહત્ત્વપૂર્ણ મુદ્દાઓ પર ચર્ચા કરવા માટે એકસાથે આવે.”
