PM Modi was conferred the national honour of Ghana - The Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana - by the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama. The PM accepted the award on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians and thanked the people and government of Ghana. He hoped that the shared democratic values and traditions of the two countries would continue to nurture the partnership.

PM Modi interacted with the astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla from the International Space Station. The PM stated that their conversation embodied the emotions and enthusiasm of 140 crore Indians. The PM said that Shubhanshu now had the rare honour of performing parikrama of Mother Earth herself. Shubhanshu Shukla wholeheartedly agreed with the PM's reflection that ‘science and spirituality are twin pillars of India’s strength’.
