PM Modi attended and addressed the India-Norway Business and Research Summit at Oslo. In his speech, the PM appreciated the growth in bilateral trade and investments following the entry into force of TEPA. He encouraged greater Norwegian investments in India in key sectors and urged the business communities of both countries to forge new partnerships, identify emerging areas of collaboration and strengthen economic cooperation.

In his remarks during the India-Norway Joint Press Meet, PM Modi appreciated Norway for standing firmly with India against terrorism. He noted India’s target of attracting one hundred billion dollars in investment and creating one million jobs over the next fifteen years. He reiterated that both India and Norway believe in a rules-based order and advocated the early restoration of peace in Ukraine and West Asia.

During delegation-level talks with Netherlands Prime Minister Rob Jetten, PM Modi highlighted the growing momentum in India-Netherlands relations and said both countries should combine the Netherlands’ expertise with India’s speed and scale across sectors. He also underlined cooperation in innovation, investment, sustainability and defence while announcing the elevation of ties to a Strategic Partnership.
