പൊതുയോഗത്തെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യവേ, വലിയ തോതില് ജലക്ഷാമത്തെ നേരിട്ടിരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്നിന്ന് ഏറെ മുന്നേറാന് ഗുജറാത്തിനു സാധിച്ചുവെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടു ദശാബ്ദമായി ഗുജറാത്തിന്റെ വികസനയാത്രയില് ഗുണകരമായ ഏറെ മാറ്റങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടായതായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
കൂടുതല് ജനങ്ങള്ക്കു ജലം ലഭ്യമാകുന്നതോടെ പുരോഗതിയുടെ കൂടുതല് വാതിലുകള് തുറക്കപ്പെടുമെന്നും ഒട്ടും കാലതാമസമില്ലാതെ ജനങ്ങള്ക്കു വെള്ളം ലഭ്യമാക്കുക എന്നതിനാണു ഗവണ്മെന്റ് മുന്ഗണന കല്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ജലത്തിന്റെ ഉപയോഗത്തില് ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കുകയും പരമാവധി ജലം സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ഉത്തരവാദിത്തംകൂടിയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
. ജലസംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി അത്യാധുനിക സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
