પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે ઝારખંડમાં સાહેબગંજમાં વિવિધ વિકાસલક્ષી પ્રોજેક્ટ શરૂ કર્યા હતા.
તેમણે ગંગા નદી પર 4-લેનના પુલ અને મલ્ટિ-મોડલ ટર્મિનલનું ખાતમુહૂર્ત કર્યું હતું. મલ્ટિ-મોડલ ટર્મિનલ વારાણસીથી હલ્દિયા સુધીના રાષ્ટ્રીય રાજમાર્ગ-1ના વિકાસનો મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભાગ છે.
પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ 311 કિલોમીટરની લંબાઈ ધરાવતા ગોવિંદપુર-જામતરા-દુમ્કા-સાહેબગંજ હાઇવેનું ઉદ્ઘાટન કર્યું હતું અને રાષ્ટ્રને અર્પણ કર્યો હતો. સાથે સાથે તેમણે સાહેબગંજ ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ કોર્ટના સંકુલમાં અને સાહેબગંજ ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ હોસ્પિટલમાં સૌર ઊર્જા સુવિધાનું લોકાર્પણ પણ કર્યું હતું.
પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ પહરિયા સ્પેશિયલ ઇન્ડિયા રિઝર્વ બટાલિયનના કોન્સ્ટેબલ્સની નિમણૂકના પ્રમાણપત્રોનું પ્રતીકાત્મક વિતરણ પણ કર્યું હતું અને સ્વયં-સહાય જૂથોની મહિલા ઉદ્યોગસાહસિકોને સ્માર્ટફોન આપ્યા હતા
આ પ્રસંગે પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ વિવિધ વિકાસલક્ષી પ્રોજેક્ટથી સંથાલ પરગણા વિસ્તારને લાભ થશે અને આદિવાસી સમૂદાયોના સશક્તિકરણનો માર્ગ મોકળો થશે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, ભારતમાં ગરીબ લોકો સન્માનપૂર્વક જીવન જીવવા ઇચ્છે છે અને પોતાની ક્ષમતા પુરવાર કરવાની તકો મેળવવા ઝંખે છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તેમને તેમની ક્ષમતામાં સંપૂર્ણ વિશ્વાસ છે.
પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ભારતમાં પ્રામાણિકતાના યુગનો ઉદય થયો છે. તેમણે ગરીબોને તેમના વાજબી અધિકારો મળે એ સુનિશ્ચિત કરવા તેમના પ્રયાસો માટે લોકોના આશીર્વાદ માગ્યા હતા.
