PM delighted as India's medal tally reaches historic 100 at Asian Para Games

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, expressed joy as Indian athletes won their 100th medal at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games today.

He hailed the athletes, coaches and their support system for the historic feat.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"100 MEDALS at the Asian Para Games! A moment of unparalleled joy. This success is a result of the sheer talent, hard work, and determination of our athletes.

This remarkable milestone fills our hearts with immense pride. I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to our incredible athletes, coaches and the entire support system working with them.

These triumphs inspire us all. They serve as a reminder that nothing is impossible for our youth."

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the recent developments in West Asia and the way forward.

Prime Minister welcomed the understanding reached, and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
