இந்தியா கேட் முகப்பில் 250-க்கும் அதிகமான அரங்குகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. பங்கேற்றுள்ள கலைஞர்களில் 50 சதவீதத்திற்கும் அதிகமானவர்கள் பெண்கள் ஆவர். கண்காட்சியில் பங்கேற்றுள்ள கலைஞர்களுடன் பிரதமர் கலந்துரையாடினார். கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும் அவர் பார்வையிட்டார்.

இந்த ஆண்டின் கைவினைப்பொருட்கள் கண்காட்சிக்கான மையக்கருத்து ‘திறனுக்கான பணி’ என்பதாகும். கடந்த 3 ஆண்டுகளில் கைவினைப்பொருட்கள் கண்காட்சி மூலம் 3 லட்சத்துக்கும் அதிகமான கைவினைக் கலைஞர்கள் மற்றும் சமையல் நிபுணர்களுக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பயனாளிகளில் ஏராளமான பெண் கலைஞர்களும் அடங்குவர்.
