પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે ‘હુનર હાટ’ની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેમણે હુનર હાટમાં ભાગ લેનારા દેશભરના કુશળ કારીગરો, શિલ્પકારો અને પાક નિષ્ણાંતોના સ્ટોલ્સની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી.
ઇન્ડિયા ગેટ લોન પર આવા 250થી વધુ સ્ટોલ ઉભા કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. અહીં ભાગ લેનારા પ્રતિભાગીઓમાં 50 ટકાથી વધુ મહિલાઓ છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ હાટમાં ભાગ લેનારા કારીગરો સાથે વાતચીત કરી અને સાંસ્કૃતિક કાર્યક્રમો પણ નીહાળ્યા.

‘હુનર હાટ’ રોજગારની તકો પૂરી પાડવા તેમજ ભારતનો સ્વદેશી પરંપરાગત વારસો કે જેમાંથી ઘણા લુપ્ત થવાના આરે છે એને જાળવવા અને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવાની સરકારની પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને દર્શાવે છે.
આ વર્ષની હુનર હાટનો વિષય છે ‘કુશળતાને કામ’. છેલ્લા 3 વર્ષમાં લગભગ 3 લાખ કુશળ કારીગરો, શિલ્પકારો અને પાક નિષ્ણાંતોને હુનર હાટ દ્વારા રોજગાર અને રોજગારની તક આપવામાં આવી છે. આ લાભાર્થીઓમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં મહિલા કારીગરોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
