The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today thanked the President of the French Republic, H.E. Emmanuel Macron, for his Holi greetings.

Responding to the X post of French President about Holi Greetings, Shri Modi posted on X;

“बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद, मेरे मित्र!

होली के पावन अवसर पर आपको और फ्रांस के लोगों को ढेर सारी खुशियां और समृद्धि की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं।”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, observing that when citizens are bound by the threads of unity and mutual cooperation, the strength of the nation multiplies manifold. Shri Modi highlighted that it is through this collective resolve of the people of India that the country is continuously scaling new heights of progress.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"जब नागरिक एकजुटता और आपसी सहयोग के सूत्र में बंधते हैं, तो राष्ट्र की शक्ति कई गुना बढ़ जाती है। भारतवासियों के इसी सामूहिक संकल्प से आज देश उन्नति की नित-नई ऊंचाइयों को छू रहा है।

धूमायन्ते व्यपेतानि ज्वलन्ति सहितानि च।
धृतराष्ट्रोल्मुकानीव ज्ञातयो भरतर्षभ॥"

Just as pieces of wood cannot fully display their energy when separated, but burn brightly and produce light and warmth when brought together, in the same way, the progress, prosperity, and strength of a state depend on the unity, mutual cooperation and collective determination of its people.
