Prime Minister Meets Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Antonio Tajani

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today met Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Antonio Tajani.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed appreciation for the proactive steps being taken by both sides towards the implementation of the Italy-India Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029. The discussions covered a wide range of priority sectors including trade, investment, research, innovation, defence, space, connectivity, counter-terrorism, education, and people-to-people ties.

In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“Delighted to meet Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, today. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Weightlifter, Bindyarani Devi Sorokhaibam on winning the Bronze medal in the women’s 58 kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Prime Minister said that her success is the result of her hard work and determination.

Shri Modi extended his best wishes to her for her future endeavours.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
