The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi paid tributes to police personnel martyred in the line of duty on Police Commemoration Day.

"Police Commemoration Day is about expressing gratitude to our police personnel and their families all across India. We pay tributes to all the police personnel martyred in the line of duty. Their sacrifice and service would always be remembered.

From preserving law and order to solving horrendous crimes, from assistance in disaster management to fighting COVID-19, our police personnel always give their best without hesitation. We are proud of their diligence and readiness to assist citizens", the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam greeting all the devotees of Lord Shiva on the commencement of the sacred Shri Amarnath Yatra

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, greeting all the devotees of Lord Shiva on the commencement of the sacred Shri Amarnath Yatra from today:

“वाग्बुद्धिचित्तकरणैश्च तपोभिरुग्रैः
शक्यं समाकलयितुं न यदीयरूपम्।

तं भक्तिभावसुलभं शरणं नतानां
नित्यं भजाम्यऽमरनाथमहं दयालुम्॥"

The Subhashitam says, "I daily worship the merciful Lord Amarnath, whose nature cannot be comprehended through speech, intellect, mind, the senses, or even through severe finances, who is easily attainable through devotion, and who is the refuge of those who bow before him."

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

समस्त शिवभक्तों को पावन-पुनीत श्री अमरनाथ यात्रा के शुभारंभ की अनंत शुभकामनाएं! बाबा बर्फानी के दिव्य दर्शन की यह यात्रा आप सभी के जीवन में सुख-समृद्धि, सौभाग्य और उत्तम स्वास्थ्य लेकर आए।
