On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the celebrations at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, in the Capital on Monday, 30th April, 2018.
He will offer Sangh Dana. He will also present the Vaishakh Sammaan Prashasti Patra to the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath; and the All India Bhikshu Sangha, Bodh Gaya. He will address the gathering.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam underlining the importance of dedication and determined effort in accomplishing every goal:
"प्रभूतं कार्यमल्पं वा यन्नरः कर्तुमिच्छति।
सर्वारम्भेण तत् कार्यं सिंहादेकं प्रचक्षते।।"
The Prime Minister also said that the dream of India receiving its first hydrogen train has become a reality, marking a significant milestone in the nation's efforts to build a clean, green and future-ready transport system. He congratulated everyone associated with this remarkable achievement.
