पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज बहादूरगड-मुंडका मेट्रो मार्गाचे व्हिडीओ कॉन्फरन्सिंगद्वारे उद्घाटन केले. दिल्ली मेट्रोच्या या नव्या भागाच्या उद्घाटनाच्या वेळी त्यांनी हरियाणा आणि दिल्लीच्या जनतेचे अभिनंदन केले. बहादूरगड, दिल्ली मेट्रोशी जोडले गेल्याबद्दल त्यांनी आनंद व्यक्त केला. गुरुग्राम आणि फरिदाबादनंतर हरियाणातले हे तिसरे ठिकाण आता दिल्ली मेट्रोशी जोडले गेले आहे.
दिल्लीमधल्या मेट्रोसेवेमुळे तिथल्या नागरिकांच्या जीवनावर झालेल्या सकारात्मक परिणामाबाबत पंतप्रधानांनी भाष्य केले. बहादूरगडमधे झपाट्याने आर्थिक विकास पहायला मिळत असून इथे अनेक शैक्षणिक केंद्रेही आहेत, याशिवाय इथले विद्यार्थी दिल्लीलाही शिक्षणासाठी येतात, त्यांच्यासाठी मेट्रो सोयीची ठरणार आहे, असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.
कनेक्टिव्हिटी अर्थात दळणवळणाची साधने आणि विकास यांचा थेट संबंध आहे. मेट्रो म्हणजे त्या भागातल्या जनतेसाठी रोजगाराच्या अधिक संधी असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.
देशभरातल्या मेट्रो रेल्वे नेटवर्कमध्ये एकसूत्रता आणि प्रमाणिकरणासाठी केंद्र सरकारने मेट्रो रेल्वेसंदर्भात एक धोरण केले आहे. आपल्या शहरांमधे सोयीची, आरामदायी आणि किफायतशीर नागरी वाहतूक यंत्रणा उभारणे हा या मागचा उद्देश आहे. मेट्रो रेल्वेच्या डब्यांची भारतात निर्मिती करुन मेक इन इंडियाला प्रोत्साहन देण्याचा हेतू असल्याचे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.
मेट्रो व्यवस्था निर्मितीची प्रक्रिया ही सहकार्यात्मक संधीयवादाशी जोडली गेली आहे. भारतात ज्या शहरात मेट्रो बांधण्यात येत आहेत, तिथे केंद्र आणि संबंधित राज्य एकत्र येऊन काम करत आहेत, असे त्यांनी सांगितले.
नव्या भारतासाठी नव्या आणि स्मार्ट पायाभूत सुविधांची गरज आहे, असे सांगून केंद्र सरकार, रस्ते, रेल्वे, महामार्ग, हवाई, जलमार्ग आणि आय-वे साठी काम करत आहे. दळणवळणावर भर देण्यात आला असून, विकास प्रकल्प नियोजित वेळेतच पूर्ण करण्यावर सरकारचा कटाक्ष आहे, असे पंतप्रधान म्हणाले.
