Shri Narendra Modi visits 500 year old Banyan Tree at Kantharpura

On Thursday 14th June 2013 Shri Narendra Modi visited a 500-year-old Banyan Tree at Kantharpura in Dehgam Taluka, Gandhinagar district. Shri Modi visited the Lihoda village in the same Taluka on the first day of Shala Praveshotsav. He interacted with the people of the village and visited the 106-year-old school.

During his visit to the historic Banyan Tree, Shri Modi called for the need for environmental protection.
