Addressing a large gathering at Surat Airport following the NDA’s landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Bihar has achieved a historic victory and if we were to leave Surat without meeting the people of Bihar, our journey would feel incomplete. My Bihari brothers and sisters living in Gujarat, especially in Surat, have the right to this moment and it is my natural responsibility to be part of this celebration with you.”

Speaking about the NDA’s emphatic win, the Prime Minister noted, “My brothers and sisters living in Surat were closely observing this election. The people of Bihar do not need to be taught politics; they have the ability to teach politics to the entire world.”

Highlighting the scale of the mandate, PM Modi further stated, “In this election, there is a 10% vote difference between the victorious NDA alliance and the defeated Mahagathbandhan. This is a substantial margin. It reflects the clear preference of the average voter and what did they vote for? Development. Today, the desire for development in Bihar is unmistakable.”

Taking a sharp swipe at the Congress during his address at the Surat Airport, the Prime Minister remarked, “The Congress has now turned into ‘MMC’ - the Muslim League Maowadi Congress.” He also noted that the Congress secured fewer seats across the last six state elections, while the BJP won more seats in a single state.
