ഐ.ഐ.ടി. ഗാന്ധിനഗര് ക്യാംപസ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി നാടിനു സമര്പ്പിച്ചു.
അദ്ദേഹം, പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഗ്രാമീണ ഡിജിറ്റല് സാക്ഷരത അഭിയാന് പദ്ധതി പ്രകാരം പരിശീലനം നേടുന്നവര്ക്ക് ആശംസകള് നേരുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഗാന്ധിനഗറില് ഏറെ ഐ.ഐ.ടി.ക്കാര് പങ്കെടുത്ത പൊതുയോഗത്തില് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പ്രസംഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ‘നിങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഐ.ഐ.ടിയന്മാരാണ്. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ചെറുപ്പത്തില് ചായ വില്ക്കുന്ന ”ടീയന്’ ആയിരുന്നു. ഏതാനും വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കുമുമ്പ് ഇതേ ദിവസമാണ് ഞാന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി ആദ്യം അധികാരമേറ്റത്. അതിനുമുമ്പ് ഞാന് എം.എല്.എ. ആയിട്ടില്ല. എന്തു ചെയ്താലും അതു കഴിവിന്റെ പരമാവധി നന്നായി ചെയ്യുമെന്നാണു ഞാന് കൈക്കൊണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള തീരുമാനം.’, പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.

സമൂഹത്തിലെ എല്ലാ വിഭാഗങ്ങള്ക്കിടയിലും എല്ലാ പ്രായക്കാര്ക്കിടയിലും ഡിജിറ്റല് സാക്ഷരത പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പ്രവര്ത്തനം നടന്നുവരികയാണെന്നു ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി പറഞ്ഞു.
ഡിജിറ്റല് ഇന്ത്യ സുതാര്യതയും ഫലപ്രദമായ സേവനലഭ്യതയും സദ്ഭരണവും ഉറപ്പുനല്കുന്നുവെന്നു ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ അദ്ദേഹം, ഇക്കാലത്തു ഡിജിറ്റല് രംഗത്തു വ്യക്തികള് തമ്മില് വേര്തിരിവ് ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത് അംഗീകരിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്നു വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
വിദ്യാഭ്യാസരംഗം പരീക്ഷാ കേന്ദ്രീകൃതമായിരിക്കരുതെന്നും പുതുമകള് തേടിയുള്ളതാവണമെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
