‘കരസേനാ ദിനത്തില് സൈനികര്, മുന് സൈനികര്, അവരുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള് എന്നിവര്ക്ക് ഞാന് ആശംസകള് നേരുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും പ്രകൃതി ദുരന്തങ്ങളും മറ്റ് അപകടങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകുമ്പോള് മാനുഷിക സേവനങ്ങള് എത്തിക്കുന്നതില് മുന്പന്തിയില് നില്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സൈന്യത്തില് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഓരോ പൗരനും അചഞ്ചലമായ വിശ്വാസവും അഭിമാനവും ഉണ്ട്.
നമ്മുടെ സൈന്യം എപ്പോഴും രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന് പ്രഥമ പരിഗണന നല്കുന്നു. രാഷ്ട്രത്തെ സേവിക്കുമ്പോള് ജീവന് ബലിയര്പ്പിച്ച എല്ലാ മഹത് വ്യക്തിത്വങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് നമിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യ തങ്ങളുടെ ശൂരനായകരെ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കില്ല’, പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
