પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ કહ્યું કે ભારતે ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહ અને ગૌરવ સાથે પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની ઉજવણી કરી.

તેમણે ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું હતું કે કર્તવ્ય પથ પરની ભવ્ય પરેડે ભારતની લોકશાહીની તાકાત, તેના વારસાની સમૃદ્ધિ અને રાષ્ટ્રને એકસાથે બાંધતી એકતાનું પ્રદર્શન કર્યું હતું. ઉજવણીની ઝલક શેર કરતા તેમણે કહ્યું કે પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની ઉજવણી દરમિયાન કર્તવ્ય પથ રાષ્ટ્રીય ગૌરવના શક્તિશાળી પ્રદર્શનનો સાક્ષી બન્યો હતો.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે ભારત પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની ઉજવણી દરમિયાન યુરોપિયન કાઉન્સિલના પ્રમુખ શ્રી એન્ટોનિયો કોસ્ટા અને યુરોપિયન કમિશનના પ્રમુખ સુશ્રી ઉર્સુલા વોન ડેર લેયેનની યજમાની કરીને ગૌરવ અનુભવે છે. તેમણે નોંધ્યું કે તેમની હાજરી ભારત-યુરોપિયન યુનિયન ભાગીદારીની વધતી જતી તાકાત અને સમાન મૂલ્યો પ્રત્યે ભારતની પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને રેખાંકિત કરે છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે આ મુલાકાત વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રોમાં ભારત અને યુરોપ વચ્ચે ગાઢ બનતા જોડાણ અને સહકારને વેગ આપશે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની પરેડમાં ભારતની પ્રચંડ સુરક્ષા પ્રણાલીનું પ્રદર્શન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જે રાષ્ટ્રની સજ્જતા, તકનીકી ક્ષમતા અને તેના નાગરિકોની સુરક્ષા માટેની અટલ પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને પ્રતિબિંબિત કરે છે.

શ્રી મોદીએ કહ્યું કે પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની પરેડે ભારતના સુરક્ષા દળોની મજબૂત થતી ક્ષમતાઓની ઝલક આપી છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે ભારતના સુરક્ષા દળો ખરેખર રાષ્ટ્રનું ગૌરવ છે, અને પરેડ દરમિયાન તેમની પ્રભાવશાળી હાજરી દર્શાવતી ઝલક શેર કરી હતી.

તેમણે કહ્યું કે પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની ઉજવણી દરમિયાન કર્તવ્ય પથ પર ભારતની સાંસ્કૃતિક વિવિધતા (cultural mosaic) નું જીવંત પ્રદર્શન જોવા મળ્યું હતું. શ્રી મોદીએ નોંધ્યું હતું કે પરેડમાં જીવંત પ્રદર્શન અને ઝાંખીઓ દ્વારા ભારતની સાંસ્કૃતિક વિવિધતાની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવી હતી, જે રાષ્ટ્રના સમૃદ્ધ અને વિવિધ વારસાને પ્રતિબિંબિત કરે છે.
