উৎসাহ-উদ্দীপনার সঙ্গে সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবসের গর্বিত উদযাপনে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী।

তিনি বলেছেন কর্তব্যপথে আকর্ষণীয় প্যারেড ভারতীয় গণতন্ত্রের শক্তি, সমৃদ্ধ ঐতিহ্য এবং ঐক্যকে তুলে ধরেছে। অনুষ্ঠানের বেশ কয়েকটি ছবি শেয়ার করে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেছেন, কর্তব্যপথ সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবস উদযাপনের মাধ্যমে জাতির গর্ববোধের অসাধারণ প্রতিফলনের সাক্ষী হয়ে রইল।

সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবস উদযাপনে ইউরোপিয়ান কাউন্সিলের প্রেসিডেন্ট অ্যান্টোনিও কোস্টা এবং ইউরোপিয়ান কমিশনের প্রেসিডেন্ট উরসুলা ভন দের লেয়েন-এর উপস্থিতি অত্যন্ত আনন্দের বলে উল্লেখ করেছে প্রধানমন্ত্রী। এই বিষয়টি ভারত-ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের শক্তিশালী অংশীদারিত্ব এবং অভিন্ন মূল্যবোধের প্রতি এ দেশের দায়বদ্ধতাকে তুলে ধরেছে বলে তিনি মনে করেন। তাঁদের এই সফর ভারত এবং ইউরোপের মধ্যে বহুক্ষেত্রিক সহযোগিতায় আরও গতি আনবে বলে প্রধানমন্ত্রী আশাবাদী।

সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবসের প্যারেডে ভারতের শক্তিশালী নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থাপনা ও সরঞ্জাম তুলে ধরা হয়েছে এবং যে কোনো পরিস্থিতির মোকাবিলায় এ দেশের প্রস্তুতি স্পষ্ট হয়ে উঠেছে বলে তিনি উল্লেখ করেছেন। নাগরিকদের রক্ষা করতে ভারতের অবিচল দায়বদ্ধতার বিষয়টিও যথার্থভাবে প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেছেন যে সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবসের প্যারেড ভারতের নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর সক্ষমতাকে চোখে আঙুল দিয়ে দেখিয়ে দেয়। এই বাহিনী দেশের গর্ব। 

সাধারণতন্ত্র দিবস উদযাপনে দিল্লির কর্তব্যপথে ভারতের বৈচিত্র্যপূর্ণ সংস্কৃতিকেও বিশদভাবে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে বলে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বার্তা দিয়েছেন।
