પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે લોકસભામાં રાષ્ટ્રપતિનાં સંબોધન પર ધન્યવાદ પ્રસ્તાવનો જવાબ આપ્યો હતો. તેમણે સંસદનાં વિવિધ સભ્યોનો ચર્ચામાં જોમ લાવવા બદલ અને ઉપયોગી મુદ્દાઓ પર પ્રકાશ ફેંકવા બદલ આભાર વ્યક્ત કર્યો હતો.

તેમનાં પ્રારંભિક નિવેદને તેમની સરકાર માટેની કામગીરીનો પડઘો પાડ્યો હતો. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, “અમારી સરકાર ભારતનાં લોકો માટે કામ કરે છે, લોકોની મહત્ત્વાકાંક્ષાઓને સમજે છે, પ્રામાણિક અને પારદર્શક છે, ભ્રષ્ટાચાર સામે કડક છે અને ઝડપથી વિકાસ કરવામાં માને છે.”

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, છેલ્લાં ચાર વર્ષમાં ભારતે નોંધપાત્ર પ્રગતિ કરી છે. પ્રત્યક્ષ વિદેશી રોકાણ (એફડીઆઇ)થી લઈને સ્ટીલ ક્ષેત્ર, સ્ટાર્ટઅપ, દૂધ અને કૃષિ, ઉડ્ડયન એમ દરેક ક્ષેત્રમાં ભારતની પ્રગતિ ઉત્કૃષ્ટ રહી છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યુ હતું કે, “આપણે દુનિયામાં બીજા સૌથી મોટાં સ્ટીલ ઉત્પાદક છીએ, બીજા સૌથી મોટાં મોબાઇલ ઉત્પાદક છીએ, ચોથા સૌથી મોટાં ઓટોમોબાઇલ ઉત્પાદક છીએ. આપણે એવો દેશ છીએ, જ્યાં જંગી કૃષિ ઉત્પાદન થાય છે.”

પોતાની સરકારની મુખ્ય કામગીરીઓ વિશે તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પ્રજા છેલ્લાં 55 વર્ષ દરમિયાન શું હાંસલ થયું હતું અને છેલ્લાં 55 મહિનામાં તેમની સરકારે શું હાંસલ કર્યું છે એ સરળતાપૂર્વક જોઈ શકે છે, અનુભવી શકે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, “સાફસફાઈનું કવરેજ 98 ટકાથી વધારે છે, આપણાં દેશનાં નાગરિકો માટે 10 કરોડથી વધારે શૌચાલયોનું નિર્માણ થયું છે. 55 વર્ષમાં 12 કરોડ ગેસ કનેક્શન આપવામાં આવ્યાં હતાં. અમે છેલ્લાં 55 મહિનામાં 13 કરોડ ગેસ કનેક્શન આપ્યાં છે અને એમાંથી 6 કરોડ ઉજ્જવલા કનેક્શન છે. કામમાં ઝડપ આવી છે અને કોનાં માટે કામ થયું છે એ તમારે પોતે નક્કી કરવાનું છે.”

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ વિપક્ષ વિશે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, લોકોએ હવે સંપૂર્ણ બહુમતી ધરાવતી સરકાર શું કરી શકે છે એ જોયું છે અને પ્રજાએ તેમની સરકારનાં કાર્યો જોયા છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, પ્રજા ‘મહામિલાવટ’ સરકાર ઇચ્છતી નથી અને આવી સરકારને સફળતા નહીં મળે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું હતું કે, કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ તેમની ટીકા કરવા સ્વતંત્ર છે, પણ તેમણે દેશની ટીકા ન કરવી જોઈએ.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ભ્રષ્ટાચાર પર આકરાં વલણ વિશે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તેમની સરકાર ભ્રષ્ટ લોકોને ઝડપવા સતત કાર્યરત છે.

તેમણે બેનામી કાયદા પર જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તેમની સરકારે બેનામી કાયદાનો અમલ કર્યો હતો અને હવે લોકો બેનામી મિલકતો ધરાવવા બદલ ફસાઈ ગયા છે.

રાફેલ સોદા પર પ્રધાનમંત્રી મોદીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, સંરક્ષણ મંત્રીએ વિગતવાર તમામ આક્ષેપોનો જવાબ આપ્યો હતો અને જે લોકો એમ માને છે કે, સંરક્ષણ ક્ષેત્ર સાથે સંકળાયેલો કોઈ પણ સોદો લાંચ આપ્યાં વિના ન થઈ શકે તેમણે જ વિવાદ ઊભો કર્યો હતો.

એનપીએ (બિનકાર્યક્ષમ અસ્કયામતો) વિશે પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, અગાઉની સરકારો આ બોજ છોડીને ગઈ હતી અને જે લોકો દેશ છોડીને ભાગી ગયા છે તેઓ અત્યારે ટ્વિટર પર નારાજગી વ્યક્ત કરી રહ્યાં છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, “તેઓ કહે છ કે, મેં રૂ. 7,800 કરોડની લોન લીધી હતી, પણ સરકારે રૂ. 13,000 કરોડની સંપત્તિ ટાંચમાં લીધી છે.”

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ એમ પણ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, સરકારે ભંડોળની વિગતો માંગ્યા પછી આશરે 20000 બિનસરકારી સંસ્થાઓએ તેમની કામગીરી બંધ કરી છે અને ભવિષ્યમાં આ સંખ્યામાં વધારો થઈ શકે છે.

એનડીએ સરકારે તમામ માટે જીવનને સરળ બનાવવા કેવી રીતે મહેનત સાથે કામ કર્યું છે એ સમજાવતાં તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, અગાઉની સરકારોનાં શાસનકાળની સરખામણીમાં એનડીએ સરકારનાં શાસનમાં કિંમતમાં વધારા કે મોંઘવારીને નિયંત્રણમાં લેવામાં આવી છે.

સ્વસ્થ ભારત પ્રત્યે પોતાની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા વ્યક્ત કરીને પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું હતું કે, દવાઓ તથા મેડિકલ અને સર્જિકલ ઉપકરણોની કિંમતોમાં ઘટાડો થયો છે.

રોજગારીનાં મોરચે પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું હતું કે, પરિવહન ક્ષેત્રમાં રોજગારીમાં સૌથી વધુ વધારો જોવા મળ્યો છે. છેલ્લાં ચાર વર્ષમાં 6 લાખથી વધારે નવા વ્યાવસાયિકો વર્કફોર્સમાં સામેલ થયાં છે અને તેમણે વધારે લોકો માટે રોજગારીનું સર્જન કર્યું છે. તેમણે સપ્ટેમ્બર, 2017થી નવેમ્બર, 2018 વચ્ચે ફક્ત 15 મહિનાનાં ગાળામાં એમ્પ્લોયીઝ પ્રોવિડન્ટ ફંડ હેઠળ 1.80 કરોડથી વધારે લોકોની નોંધણી કેવી રીતે થઈ છે એ વિશે વાત કરી હતી, જેમાંથી 64 ટકા લોકોની ઉંમર 28 વર્ષથી ઓછી છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ લોકસભાને એવું પણ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, 1.20 કરોડથી વધારે લોકોની નોંધણી નેશનલ પેન્શન સિસ્ટમ કે એનપીએસ હેઠળ થઈ છે.

ભારતની વિદેશી નીતિએ ભારતને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મંચ પર મહત્ત્વપૂર્ણ સ્થાન અપાવ્યું છે એવો અભિપ્રાય વ્યક્ત કરીને પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, હવે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મંચ પર ભારતનાં અભિપ્રાયની નોંધ લેવામાં આવે છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, પેરિસ સમજૂતીને અંતિમ ઓપ આપતાં અગાઉ દુનિયાનાં ટોચનાં નેતાઓએ ભારત સાથે ચર્ચાવિચારણા કરી હતી. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ એવું પણ સ્પષ્ટપણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ભારત ઇઝરાયેલ અને પેલેસ્ટાઇન તથા સાઉદી અરેબિયા અને ઇરાન એમ બંને સાથે મૈત્રીપૂર્ણ સંબંધો જાળવશે.

ભારતની પ્રગતિને પંથે દોરવામાં યુવા પેઢીની ભૂમિકાની પ્રશંસા કરતાં તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, “જે લોકોનો જન્મ 21મી સદીમાં થયો છે, તેઓ હવે મતદાતા બનશે અને એટલે તેઓ ભારતનાં વિકાસને આકાર આપવામાં મહત્ત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવશે. “

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ પોતાની વાતનું સમાપન કરતાં કહ્યું હતું કે, એમની સરકાર ભારતનાં લોકોની આકાંક્ષા હંમેશા પૂર્ણ કરશે.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi interacted with CEOs of the global energy sector as part of the ongoing India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg earlier today.

During the interaction, the CEOs expressed strong confidence in India’s growth trajectory. They conveyed their keen interest in expanding and deepening their business presence in India, citing policy stability, reform momentum, and long-term demand visibility.

Welcoming the CEOs, Prime Minister said that these roundtables have emerged as a key platform for industry-government alignment. He emphasized that direct feedback from global industry leaders helps refine policy frameworks, address sectoral challenges more effectively, and strengthen India’s position as an attractive investment destination.

Highlighting India’s robust economic momentum, Prime Minister stated that India is advancing rapidly towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy and will play a decisive role in the global energy demand-supply balance.

Prime Minister drew attention to significant investment opportunities in India’s energy sector. He highlighted an investment potential of around USD 100 billion in exploration and production, citing investor-friendly policy reforms introduced by the government. He also underscored the USD 30 billion opportunity in Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG). In addition, he outlined large-scale opportunities across the broader energy value chain, including gas-based economy, refinery–petrochemical integration, and maritime and shipbuilding.

Prime Minister observed that while the global energy landscape is marked by uncertainty, it also presents immense opportunity. He called for innovation, collaboration, and deeper partnerships, reiterating that India stands ready as a reliable and trusted partner across the entire energy value chain.

The high-level roundtable saw participation from 27 CEOs and senior corporate dignitaries representing leading global and Indian energy companies and institutions, including TotalEnergies, BP, Vitol, HD Hyundai, HD KSOE, Aker, LanzaTech, Vedanta, International Energy Forum (IEF), Excelerate, Wood Mackenzie, Trafigura, Staatsolie, Praj, ReNew, and MOL, among others. The interaction was also attended by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri and the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Suresh Gopi and senior officials of the Ministry.
