আজসকালে জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের উরি-তে জঙ্গি হানার ঘটনার কঠোর নিন্দা করেছেনপ্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। এক বার্তায় তিনি বলেছেন :
“উরি-তেসন্ত্রাসবাদীদের কাপুরুষোচিত আক্রমণের কঠোর নিন্দা জানাই। আমি জাতিকে এই মর্মেআশ্বাস দিতে চাই যে যারা এই নিন্দনীয় ঘটনার সঙ্গে যুক্ত তারা কখনই শাস্তির হাতথেকে পালিয়ে বাঁচতে পারবে না।
উরি-রঘটনায় যাঁরা শহীদ হয়েছেন, আমি তাঁদের সশ্রদ্ধ অভিবাদন জানাই। জাতির প্রতি সেবারজন্য তাঁরা স্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবেন। শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারগুলির চিন্তাভাবনার শরিক আমিনিজেও।
পরিস্থিতিসম্পর্কে আমি কথা বলেছি স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী এবং প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে।পরিস্থিতি খতিয়ে দেখতে প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রী নিজেই রওনা হবেন জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরেরউদ্দেশে।”
