শনিবার পাটনাবিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শতবর্ষ উদযাপন অনুষ্ঠানে ভাষণ দিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্রমোদী। পাটনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সফরের সুযোগ লাভ করে এবং সেখানকার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সঙ্গেএভাবে মিলিত হতে পেরে নিজেকে সম্মানিত মনে করেন তিনি। প্রধানমন্ত্রী তাঁর ভাষণেবলেন, বিহারভূমিকে আমি প্রণতি জানাই। এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এমন অনেক ছাত্রছাত্রী গড়েতুলেছেন জাতির প্রতি যাদের অবদান অপরিসীম।
শ্রী মোদী বলেন, তিনি একটিবিষয় বিশেষভাবে লক্ষ্য করেছেন যে বিভিন্ন রাজ্য থেকে সিভিল সার্ভিসের শীর্ষ পদযাঁরা অলঙ্কৃত করেছেন তাঁদের মধ্যে অনেকেরই ছাত্রজীবন কেটেছে পাটনাবিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। দিল্লীতেও তিনি বহু সরকারি কর্মীর সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন যাঁদের মধ্যেঅনেকেই বিহারের অধিবাসী।
রাজ্যের সার্বিক উন্নয়ন ওঅগ্রগতিতে বিহারের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রী নীতিশ কুমারের অঙ্গীকাবদ্ধতার ভূয়সী প্রশংসাকরেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। পূর্ব ভারতের বিকাশে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার যে সর্বাধিক গুরুত্বদিয়ে আসছে একথাও প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেখ করেন তিনি।
শ্রী মোদী বলেন, ‘ জ্ঞান ’ ও ‘ গঙ্গা ’ উভয় দিক থেকেই বিহার বিশেষভাবে আশীর্বাদধন্য। এইরাজ্যটির এমনই এক ঐতিহ্য ও উত্তরাধিকার রয়েছে যা এক কথায় অতুলনীয়। প্রচলিতশিক্ষাদান পদ্ধতি থেকে উদ্ভাবনমূলক শিক্ষা পদ্ধতির দিকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলির এগিয়েযাওয়া উচিত বলে মন্তব্য করেন তিনি।
প্রধানমন্ত্রীবলেন, বিশ্বায়নের যুগে বিশ্বের পরিবর্তনশীল দিক ও প্রবণতাগুলি সম্পর্কে আমাদেরসম্মোকভাবে ধারণা থাকা উচিত। একইসঙ্গে উত্তরোত্তর বৃদ্ধি পাওয়াপ্রতিযোগিতামুখীনতার বিষয়টি সম্পর্কেও আমাদের সচেতন থাকতে হবে। কারণ এই ভাবেই ভারতসমগ্র বিশ্বে নিজের বিশেষ স্হানটি খুঁজে নিতে পারবে।
জনসাধারণেরবিভিন্ন সমস্যার উদ্ভাবনমূলক সমাধানের পথ খুঁজে বের করার জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রীআহ্বান জানান ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কাছে। তিনি বলেন, শিক্ষণীয় বিষয়গুলিকে কাজে লাগিয়েএবং স্টার্ট-আপ শিল্পোদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে সমাজের জন্য অনেক কিছু করার সুযোগ রয়েছেতাঁদের কাছে।
পাটনাবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে বিমানবন্দর যাওয়ার পথে পাটনার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এবং অন্যান্যবিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী পরিদর্শন করেন বিহার সংগ্রহশালা,যেখানে সযত্নে রক্ষিত রয়েছে রাজ্যের সমৃদ্ধ ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি।
