PM Modi addressed a massive public rally in Singur, Hooghly, where he said the overwhelming public enthusiasm reflected Bengal’s resolve for real poriborton and an end to 15 years of what he termed as Maha Jungle Raj. Calling upon the people to take a pledge for change, he led the crowd in the slogan, “Paltaano Dorkar… Chai BJP Shorkar.”
PM Modi said he was addressing the rally at a historic moment when the nation is celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram. He recalled that Hooghly holds a special connection with Vande Mataram, as Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay gave the song its complete form here.

Highlighting BJP’s commitment to Bengal’s heritage, the Prime Minister reiterated that it was the BJP government which installed Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s statue at Kartavya Path, honoured the Azad Hind Fauj from the Red Fort, and named islands in Andaman and Nicobar after Netaji. He said the Bengali language received classical status under the BJP government, Durga Puja was recognised by UNESCO as cultural heritage, and Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s Shantiniketan was accorded World Heritage status.
PM Modi said his constant effort has been to serve Bengal’s youth, farmers, and mothers and sisters, but the TMC government deliberately blocks central schemes from reaching the people. Citing the example of fishermen, he said that despite huge export potential, TMC has stalled the registration of fishermen on a central digital platform, depriving them of benefits under schemes like the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana.

The PM said governments that obstruct development and welfare are being rejected by voters across the country. He cited Delhi and Odisha as examples where people removed governments that blocked central schemes like Ayushman Bharat, adding that the people of Bengal have also decided to teach the TMC government a lesson.
He emphasised that wherever BJP’s double-engine governments are in place, development gains momentum. Citing the Jal Jeevan Mission, he said states like Tripura witnessed a transformative expansion of tap water connections after the BJP came to power, calling it Modi ki guarantee.
PM Modi said it is essential to end TMC’s Maha Jungle Raj and bring BJP’s good governance to Bengal by following the ideals of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, who empowered women and youth. He said that under TMC rule, women are unsafe and the education system is under the grip of mafias and corruption.

Appealing directly to mothers and sisters, he said their children will not get good education or jobs as long as TMC remains in power. He added that one vote for BJP will ensure strict action against violence and crimes in colleges, prevent incidents like Sandeshkhali, protect teachers’ jobs, and punish those who loot the future of youth.
The Prime Minister said the TMC government is playing with the security of Bengal and the nation by protecting infiltrators. He alleged that TMC provides facilities to infiltrators, stages protests to shield them, and supports them because they form a fixed vote bank.
He warned that the time has come to completely stop infiltration and identify those who entered using forged documents and send them back to their countries, stating that this task can be achieved with one vote for BJP.

Calling upon the people to take a united pledge, he said Bengal must move with one goal, one determination, and one resolve:
“Paltaano Dorkar… Chai BJP Shorkar!”
Concluding his address, PM Modi thanked the people for their massive participation and reaffirmed his confidence that Bengal is ready to script a new chapter of development, security, and pride.
