Hong Kong-based companies in India express keen interest in India
India-Hong Kong to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation

Mr. CY Leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.

The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. CY Leung on his first official visit to India and expressed hope that his visit will lead to increased trade, investment and tourism links between India and Hong Kong.

Mr. CY Leung briefed the Prime Minister about the strong interest among Hong Kong-based companies in India.

The Prime Minister and Mr. CY Leung agreed to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, especially in the financial services sector, as well as cooperation in the field of education.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that knowledge is such a capital of life, with which even the greatest goals can be achieved. Shri Modi remarked that knowledge takes us out of the darkness of ignorance and leads us towards success and self-confidence.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

"विद्वान् प्रशस्यते लोके
विद्वान् सर्वत्र गौरवम्।

विद्यया लभते सर्वं
विद्या सर्वत्र पूज्यते॥"

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"विद्या जीवन की ऐसी पूंजी है, जिससे बड़े से बड़े लक्ष्य को हासिल किया जा सकता है। विद्या हमें अज्ञानता के अंधकार से निकालकर सफलता और आत्मविश्वास की ओर ले जाती है।
