The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of noted writer Professor G. Venkatasubbaiah.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "Demise of Professor G. Venkatasubbaiah has left a huge void in Kannada literature. He was a prolific writer and thinker who made many efforts to popularise Kannada. He was passionate about his work and inspired many youngsters. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti."

अनिर्वेदो हि सततं सर्वार्थेषु प्रवर्तकः।

करोति सफलं जन्तोः कर्म यच्च करोति सः॥"
