PM to inaugurate 107th Indian Science Congress tomorrow at UAS, Bangalore

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate 107th Indian Science Congress at University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru on Friday 3 January 2020. Prime Minister Modi will deliver the inaugural address on the occasion and also launch I-STEM Portal on the occasion. The Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B. S. Yediyurappa and other dignitaries including Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will be present on the occasion.

The Theme of the India Science Congress (ISC) this year is “Science and Technology: Rural Development”. More than 15,000 participants, including Nobel Laureates, Scientists, intellectuals, academicians, police makers, researchers, students and delegates from different institutions are expected to participate in the event. Prime Minister speaks with the President of Iran

President Pezeshkian briefs PM on the recent developments in West Asia.
PM welcomes the understanding reached and reiterates the need for continued efforts for lasting peace and stability.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the recent developments in West Asia and the way forward.

Prime Minister welcomed the understanding reached, and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

Prime Minister reiterated the need for continued efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region, and for safeguarding freedom of navigation and commerce.
