High-level delegation of Nepal meets Hon'ble CM

A high-level delegation, led by Nepal's Ambassador to India, Mr.Shamsher Rana had a meet with Chief Minister Narendra Modi and talked on investment opportunities existing in Nepal.

Delegation of Nepal Government and business leaders is in Ahmedabad, to participate in a two day seminar on 'Trade and investment opportunities in Nepal', arranged under the auspice of Nepal Embassy. During a meet with Chief Minister, delegation admired the turnaround in Gujarat achieved under the leadership of Narendra Modi and get acquainted with State's initiations in the areas of Industrial development, agriculture and water conservation. They invited Chief Minister to visit Nepal.

Shri Modi also invited them to take part in forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor's Summit to be held in January 2011.

Principal Secretary to Industries Department M.Shahu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K.Kailasnathan, Secretary A.K.Sharma and Industries Commissioner B.B.Swen were present on the occasion.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam that reflects the timeless wisdom of Indian thought. The verse conveys that just as trees bearing fruits and flowers satisfy humans when they are near, in the same way, trees provide all kinds of benefits to the person who plants them, even while living far away.

The Prime Minister posted on X;

“पुष्पिताः फलवन्तश्च तर्पयन्तीह मानवान्।

वृक्षदं पुत्रवत् वृक्षास्तारयन्ति परत्र च॥”
