Hazira gets a mega plant

The country's first private sector plant for manufacturing supercritical boilers and turbine generators was inaugurated at Hazira on Tuesday. The plant is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and L&T.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Vilasrao Deshmukh and Bharatsinh Solanki were present on the occasion, besides chairman and managing director of L&T A M Naik and Hideaki Omiya, the president of MHI.

Shri Modi said, “L&T also displayed social responsibility during the 2006 floods when its employees helped people in Surat with various technical equipment to remove debris and clear main roads. The turbine centre in India will shine in the world.”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has said that the World Class Station of Jhansi will ensure more tourism and commerce in Jhansi as well as nearby areas. Shri Modi also said that this is an integral part of the efforts to have modern stations across India.

In a tweet Member of Parliament from Jhansi, Shri Anurag Sharma thanked to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi for approving to make Jhansi as a World Class Station for the people of Bundelkand. He also thanked Railway Minsiter, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Responding to the tweet by MP from Jhansi Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister tweeted;

“An integral part of our efforts to have modern stations across India, this will ensure more tourism and commerce in Jhansi as well as nearby areas.”
