ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ସାଧାରଣତନ୍ତ୍ର ଦିବସ ପାଳନ ସମୟରେ ୟୁରୋପୀୟ ପରିଷଦର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଆଣ୍ଟୋନିଓ କୋଷ୍ଟା ଏବଂ ୟୁରୋପୀୟ ଆୟୋଗର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଉର୍ସୁଲା ଭନ୍ ଡେର୍ ଲିଏନଙ୍କୁ ଆତିଥ୍ୟ ଦେବାର ସୌଭାଗ୍ୟ ଭାରତ ପାଇଛି। ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଉପସ୍ଥିତି ଭାରତ-ୟୁରୋପୀୟ ସଂଘ ଭାଗିଦାରୀର ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଶକ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସହଭାଗୀ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧ ପ୍ରତି ଭାରତର ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧତା ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦେଇଥାଏ। ସେ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ଏହି ଗସ୍ତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଭାରତ ଏବଂ ୟୁରୋପ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗଭୀର ସମ୍ପର୍କ ଏବଂ ସହଯୋଗକୁ ଗତିଶୀଳ କରିବ।
