The 77th Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path showcased India’s unity, strength and heritage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the day by paying homage to the martyrs at the Rashtriya Samar Smarak and reaffirmed the nation’s gratitude to its bravehearts.

President Droupadi Murmu graced the Republic Day programme at Kartavya Path. During this year’s celebration, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa were the Guests of Honour.

During the parade, the various military bands and marching contingents of the Armed Forces impressed the gathering with their coordination, making the celebration memorable for spectators.

The diverse cultural performances and thematic tableaux showcased the vibrant traditions and heritage of our states.

The spectacular flypast by the Indian Air Force drew applause from the crowds. It displayed precision, strength and professionalism by the Air Force personnel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the people gathered for the occasion.
