Gandhinagar, Thursday: A group of 38 probationary officers of Indian Forest Service, including nine women officers, on a study tour of Gujarat, called on Chief Minister Narendra Modi here today.

The group coming from different states apprised themselves about the Gir Lions Sanctuary, Jamnagar National Marine Park, Wild Ass and other sanctuaries. Mr. Modi briefed them about special care and action plans required to preserve the Asiatic Lions in their only natural abode in Gir Forests with people’s participation, about management of whale sharks, migratory birds, forestation and social forestry.

In the interactive session with the forest officers also took keen interest in Gujarat Government’s unique good governance, development model, transparency in administration, responsibility to the citizens under the leadership of the Chief Minister and a host of other issues necessary to empower the society.

Forest and Environment Principal Secretary H. K. Das, Principal Conservator of Forests S. K. Goel and other senior officers of the Department were present.

Prime Minister expresses gratitude to the Armed Forces on Armed Forces Flag Day

The Prime Minister today conveyed his deepest gratitude to the brave men and women of the Armed Forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.

He said that the discipline, resolve and indomitable spirit of the Armed Forces personnel protect the nation and strengthen its people. Their commitment, he noted, stands as a shining example of duty, discipline and devotion to the nation.

The Prime Minister also urged everyone to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund in honour of the valour and service of the Armed Forces.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“On Armed Forces Flag Day, we express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who protect our nation with unwavering courage. Their discipline, resolve and spirit shield our people and strengthen our nation. Their commitment stands as a powerful example of duty, discipline and devotion to our nation. Let us also contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.”
