CM condoles the passing away of littérateur Suresh Dalal

Chief Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over sudden demise of noted litterateur-poet Suresh Dalal.

Paying tribute to the late poet Chief Minister said that Suresh Dalal was instrumental in keeping intact the course of Gujarati literature among other languages, while maintaining goodwill for all forms of literature. His sudden death is a great shock.

Chief Minister said that late Suresh Dalal had a lively personality, was a wordsmith and devoted to literature. His demise is an irreparable loss to the lovers of Gujarati language and literature and to the learned section of the world. 

Recalling his talk with the late litterateur just on the eve of his demise Chief Minster said, “He talked with me about his future plan of writing and also asked me to write article as a part of it”.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving security situation in West Asia.

Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and reaffirmed India’s strong condemnation of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister reiterated the call for de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy for earliest restoration of peace and stability.

Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Amir for his personal attention to the continued well-being and the safety of the large Indian community in Kuwait.
