Kandhamal, Balangir & Bargarh, Odisha, witnessed grand celebrations with the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Affectionately addressing the audience ahead of Lok Sabha as well as assembly elections in the state, the PM expressed immense pride in the state of Odisha and its invaluable contribution to the nation.

Commencing the event, PM Modi paid homage to Narishakti and expressed his gratitude to Tula Bahra Ji, a mother with nothing of her own, who honoured him. In an act of respect and humility, the PM also bowed down to Padma awardee Purnamasi Jani during his visit to Odisha. He extended his heartfelt thanks to the mothers of the country for their blessings of womanhood and motherhood.

Confiding in the public, PM Modi recalled, "25 years ago today, Atal Ji's government conducted nuclear tests in Pokhran, showcasing India's strength to the world. While India demonstrated its potential, the Congress continues to sow fear by suggesting Pakistan's possession of nuclear weapons." Criticizing Congress for its softened stance, PM Modi stated, "They repeatedly try to frighten us, warning about Pakistan's atomic bomb. However, Pakistan is struggling to manage its own situation. They're even trying to sell their bombs, but no one wants to buy them because of their poor quality."

“This election holds immense significance for the people of Odisha. Your every vote is crucial for the development of Odisha and a prosperous India. Your single vote will enable a BJP government, bringing a double-engine government to Odisha for the first time!” the PM further added as he advanced his speech.

With gratification in BJP's efforts, PM Modi indulged in an open dialogue with the crowd, observing that, “The BJP believes in both development and heritage. Under BJP governance, the country fulfilled a 500-year aspiration with the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Are you not proud to see this? In Odisha, the state BJP is committed to promoting the Odia language and culture. Any son or daughter of Odisha, rooted in its culture, will be considered for the position of Chief Minister by the BJP.”

In a somber tone, discussing a sensitive issue, PM Modi expressed his deep understanding of Odisha's significance, PM Modi acknowledged the profoundness of the state and remarked, “Odisha has a special connection with Akshaya Tritiya, as it marks the beginning of the construction of chariots for the Puri Rath Yatra. However, I want to draw your attention to a sensitive issue. 7 decades ago, rules were established for the management of the Shri Jagannath Temple. Among these rules was the maintenance of records for all temple assets, including gold, silver, and precious stones. The last evaluation of the treasure in Shri Ratna Bhandar took place 45 years ago, revealing an abundance of jewellery and gems deemed priceless. Surprisingly, the inner chamber keys of Shri Ratna Bhandar have been missing for the past 6 years. The state government claims to have found duplicate keys, but how and by whom they were made remains unknown. Despite handing over the investigation to a commission, the Odisha government has not made the report public. The BJP is committed to addressing this issue, and we ask, why is the BJD government avoiding it?”

“What compels the state government to hide the truth? Who are they trying to protect? Today, I promise the people of Odisha and the nation that under the BJP government, transparency and the reputation of Shri Ratna Bhandar will be restored. This is Modi Ki Guarantee,” the PM established.

With a sense of fulfilment, PM Modi shared the positive changes brought about by the BJP government, “Modi worships those who are overlooked by others. Odisha is home to talented Vishwakarma artisan sathis specializing in Dokra and bamboo art. To support them, PM Vishwakarma Yojana has been initiated. Similarly, extremely backward tribes like Bhuiyan, Bhunjia, Bondo Poraja, and Mankirdia have been neglected for too long. For the first time, we have introduced the PM Janman Yojana. This scheme, guided by our President and Odisha's own Droupadi Murmu, is a testament to Modi's dedication.”

Addressing the second rally of the day in Balangir, Odisha, PM Modi reflected, "It was our government that approved the Paika Sangram Memorial, symbolizing Odia bravery. We also issued a coin and postage stamp in honor of Paika Sangram. Under the BJP government, a tribal daughter became the President of the country for the first time. Today, a daughter of Odisha holds the highest position in the nation."

Expressing his concern for the farmers, the PM expressed his disregard towards the current faltering state of Odisha, “The BJD government has betrayed our farmers on a massive scale. Here in Odisha, paddy farmers are denied their MSP, and market scams are rampant. A significant portion of the farmers' earnings is spent on harvesting and threshing. The MSP for paddy is fixed at around Rs 2200, but our farmers are deprived of this rightful compensation. Odisha BJP has pledged to ensure that paddy farmers receive a MSP of Rs 3100, with the money reaching their accounts within 48 hours.”

Highlighting the BJP government's tireless efforts, PM Modi stated, “Thanks to the efforts of the BJP government, in the last 10 years, 10 crore sisters have joined self-help groups. PM Modi has pledged to make 3 crore sisters from these groups "Lakhpati Didis." Odisha BJP has announced the Subhadra scheme for the sisters in the state, which will provide significant support to them. This guarantee will be fulfilled with the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath. The Modi government is already running a nutrition campaign for mothers and sisters. During pregnancy, Rs 6,000 is sent from Delhi to the bank accounts of every sister. However, sisters from Odisha are unable to receive this money because the Odisha government has banned this scheme.”

In his third rally of the day in Bargah, Odisha, PM Modi empathized with the farmers’ situations and remarked, “Modi is tirelessly working to improve the lives of villagers and farmers. Remember the struggles farmers faced for urea ten years ago? Today, there are no such issues. Thanks to the BJP government, many fertilizer factories, including Talcher, have been reopened. Work is progressing rapidly in Talcher. The same urea bag that costs Rs 3,000 worldwide is now available to you for less than Rs 300.”

Speaking to the audience, PM Modi emphasized, "Many of our friends here are involved in textile work. Our weaver brothers and sisters are the backbone of the 'Made in India' movement, with Sambalpuri sarees gaining global fame. With a special focus on handloom and the textile sector, the BJP government is providing scholarships of up to Rs 2 lakh for the children of weavers to study in textile institutes. Over the last decade, we have established more than 600 handloom clusters, empowering our artisans and promoting traditional Indian textiles.”

Prompting the audience to introspect, PM Modi asked, "Have you ever imagined that a daughter from the tribal community would become the President of our country? It was your support that led to the formation of the BJP government. And today, a daughter of Odisha holds the highest position in the nation."

The PM also issued a cautionary message against the Opposition to the audience and claimed, “Congress intends to amend the Constitution, taking away reservation from SC/ST/OBC communities and offering it to its vote bank. However, today, with a tribal daughter occupying the highest constitutional post, and with your Pradhansevak being a son of the soil, every attempt by Congress to alter the Constitution will be thwarted. Modi will ensure that the rights of SC/ST/OBC communities are protected at all costs."

Underscoring the significance of the Lotus symbol, PM Modi urged voters to choose it to end BJD's misrule. The Lotus symbolizes peace, development, knowledge, and science, ensuring respect for women and fulfilling resolutions. It represents security, prosperity, and self-reliance, symbolizing India's rich heritage and pride. Voting for the Lotus symbolizes victory, faith, respect, and self-respect, leading the nation towards progress.

In conclusion, PM Modi emphasized the importance of a double engine government in Odisha, urging every voter to support BJP's allies in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He stressed that every vote strengthens his commitment to serving the people of Odisha. Also, PM Modi urged everyone to visit every household and convey his greetings with "Jai Johar, Jai Jagannath."
