പാഠ്യേതര പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദി പറയുന്നു, അതില്ലെങ്കില് വ്യക്തികള് യന്ത്രമനുഷ്യരായി പോകും. എന്നാല് പഠനവും പാഠ്യേതര പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളും തമ്മില് കൃത്യമായ സമയ ക്രമം പാലിക്കണം. വളരെ ആകര്ഷകമെന്നു നാം വിചാരിക്കുന്ന പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്കു കുട്ടികളെ തള്ളിവിടാതെ അവര്ക്കു താല്പര്യമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങള് ഏതെന്നു കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാന് മാതാപിതാക്കള് സമയം ചെലവഴിക്കണം എന്നു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. കുട്ടികളുടെ താല്പര്യങ്ങള് മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ 'ഫാഷന് സ്റ്റേറ്റ്മെന്റുകള്' ആയി മാറുമ്പോള് അത് നല്ലതല്ലാതാവും. ഓരോ കുട്ടിയും അവര്ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള വിഷയങ്ങളില് ഏര്പ്പെടട്ടെ - പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
