PM Modi addressed ‘Yuvam’ conclave in Kerala’s Therava. Beginning his speech, PM Modi greeted the audience in Malayalam. PM Modi stated, “The vibrancy of any mission depends on the vibrancy of the youth. This vibrancy and energy often increase when I interact with the youth of Kerala.” He stated the importance of the role of youth in the ‘Amrit Kaal’ and congratulated the youth of Kerala for organizing an event at such a large scale.


Citing the names of eminent personalities like VP Appu Kottan Poduwal, Nambi Narayan, and CI Isaac among others, PM Modi stated that “the youth continue to be inspired by them.” He added that India’s renaissance and social reformation were led by great personalities such as Adi Shankaracharya ji and Narayan Guru ji. During our freedom struggle, freedom fighters such as K Kelappan, K Kumar, NK Damodaran Nair among others played a huge role in winning India’s freedom. Attributing their role PM Modi stated, “I am happy that the youth of Kerala today are following in their footsteps.”


PM Modi reiterated how everybody across the globe is calling this century as India’s century, how the perception of nothing will change in India has now transformed into an India promoting Startup India, Stand up India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat and how India has transformed from a ‘fragile five’ to being the ‘fifth largest economy’ in the world. Regarding the same PM Modi stated, “All these achievements are incomplete without the contribution of the youth who will continue to lead India towards progress and development. The youth today is also taking up responsibilities to solve global problems.”


During India’s G20 Presidency, various meetings including the Sherpa Summit at Kumarakom, and the health working group meeting in Thiruvananthapuram saw tremendous participation of the youth showcasing professionalism of the highest level by the people of Kerala.


PM Modi stated that “The BJP and the youth of this country have a similar wavelength. We bring reforms and the youth brings results enabling a successful youth-led partnership and change.
He added that in all the sectors which were completely ridden with scams during the Congress-led government, the BJP-led NDA government, through its effective governance, has brought reforms. “We brought reforms in the space, defence and PLI sectors making India Atmanirbhar promoting opportunities for our youth,” he stated. By extensively focusing on the expansion of infrastructure through roadways, highways, and waterways among others, PM Modi said that the Central Government sought to expand opportunities for exports.


PM Modi stated, “The youth of Kerala is aware that only through infrastructure creation, industrial expansion, creation of job opportunities and expansion of tourism will occur.” The government through its initiatives be it the Kochi Metro or the launch of the First Vande Bharat in Kerala or the creation of airport infrastructure in Kannur has always envisaged the creation of infrastructure facilitating growth and development.


Reiterating the importance of the Blue Economy for the people of Kerala, PM Modi stated that “The government is committed to promoting the Ease of Living of the people.” The government through its initiatives in creating new harbours, post-harvest infrastructure, and enabling access to formal credit through Kisan Credit Cards to fish farmers.


All our efforts are towards promoting the well-being of the youth of Kerala. In our recent initiative, we have enabled the youth of Kerala to appear for the CAPF Constable exam in Malayalam along with 12 other regional languages. Through Rozgar Melas, we are providing government jobs to various youths in the country. On the same, PM Modi stated, “Our motto is to unlock the potential of the youth of our country.”


On Kerala’s traditional medicine, PM Modi acknowledged the centuries-old tradition of medicines in Kerala and how former Kenyan PM Raila Odinga’s daughter’s eye treatment was successful as a result of the same”.


While addressing the audience, PM Modi stated, “I feel happy when I discuss the state of Kerala in Mann Ki Baat”, while also reiterating the importance of the 100th episode of Mann ki Baat, thanking the people of Kerala for their support.


PM Modi stated that the youth of Kerala should not be trapped in the dual ideologies where one ideology holds its party ideology over the progress of the state and on the other hand the other ideology promotes family over the development of the state. He said, “The youth in the state should support the BJP Government which has always respected the aspirations of the people of Kerala.” On this PM Modi stated that he wished the youth of Kerala to lead India in AI revolution and to be the harbingers of Malayalam culture all around the world.


PM Modi stated that in the coming 25 years, the youth of Kerala have to participate in the Amrit Kaal and has to enable India to become a developed country by maintaining its democratic traditions and has to envisage a society free of divisive forces.


Before addressing the Yuvam conclave, PM Modi also held a roadshow which received massive public support and enthusiasm.

PM to inaugurate Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor
Corridor to reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from over 6 hours to around 2.5 hours

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, will visit Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on 14 April 2026. At around 11:15 AM, the Prime Minister will visit Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh to undertake a review of the Wildlife Corridor on the elevated section of the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor. At around 11:40 AM, the Prime Minister will perform Darshan and Pooja at Jai Maa Daat Kali Temple near Dehradun. Thereafter, at around 12:30 PM, Prime Minister will inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor at a public function in Dehradun and will also address the gathering on the occasion.

The 213 km long six-lane access-controlled Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor has been developed at a cost of over ₹12,000 crore. The corridor traverses through the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and will reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from over six hours at present to around two and a half hours.

Implementation of the project also includes the construction of 10 interchanges, three Railway Over Bridges (ROBs), four major bridges and 12 wayside amenities to enable seamless high-speed connectivity. The corridor is equipped with an Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) to provide a safer and more efficient travel experience for commuters.

Keeping in view the ecological sensitivity, rich biodiversity and wildlife in the region, the corridor has been designed with several features aimed at significantly reducing man-animal conflict. To ensure the free movement of wild animals, the project incorporates several dedicated wildlife protection features. These include a 12 km long wildlife elevated corridor, which is one of the longest in Asia. The corridor also includes eight animal passes, two elephant underpasses of 200 metres each, and a 370 metre long tunnel near the Daat Kali temple.

The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor will play a pivotal role in strengthening regional economic growth by enhancing connectivity between major tourism and economic centres as well as opening new avenues for trade and development across the region. The project reflects the vision of the Prime Minister to develop next-generation infrastructure that combines high-speed connectivity with environmental sustainability and improved quality of life for citizens.
