QuoteBe it implementing ‘One Nation, One Tax’ or ‘One Nation, One Card’ we have greatly enhanced uniformity in governance: PM Modi
QuoteThanks to the arrogance of the Congress party, the victims of the gruesome 1984 anti-Sikh riots are still awaiting justice: PM Modi

Addressing the fourth large rally for the day in Chandigarh, PM Modi said, “These elections are about the people of the country electing a strong government by choosing ‘India First’ over ‘Dynasty First’ and ‘Development’ over ‘Dynasty’ as it takes giant leaps into the 21st century.”

PM Modi described the rapid strides taken by the nation during the last five years owing to the clean, efficient and strong policies of the BJP-led NDA government and said, “Be it implementing ‘One Nation, One Tax’ or ‘One Nation, One Card’ we have greatly enhanced uniformity in governance which have been further complemented by the major push for digitisation under this government. As a result, India today has a very strong digital payments system as well as the JAM trinity through which we have rooted out ghost beneficiaries of government schemes. Milestones like these happen when a government makes ‘people’ its priority rather than ‘power’ and when it is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all Indians.”

Lashing out at the Congress party for its role in inciting the anti-Sikh riots in 1984, PM Modi said, “Thanks to the arrogance of the Congress party, the victims of the gruesome 1984 anti-Sikh riots are still awaiting justice as many of the perpetrators have not been punished for their crimes. The Congress party even went further and rewarded those accused in these riots with ministerial posts and their recent statement trying to justify their historical wrongs has yet again revealed that the true face of the Congress party is anti-Sikh. It is because of their arrogance and such statements that the people no longer associate themselves with the divisive politics of the Congress.”
