Prime Minister Modi inaugurates first tribal carnival

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first tribal carnival in New Delhi. The PM said that adivasis, despite living in conditions lacking basic amenities, never complain. He said that we must learn from them how to lead life.

PM Modi called for modernising the traditional methods of medication developed and practised by the adivasis so that they can expand their businesses. Shri Modi also informed that Central Government is planning out a policy, wherein a growth centre will be established in several villages. The adivasis will be provided with modern equipments at the centres.

Shri Modi said that adivasis have respected and saved our forests for years. Adding further he said that after independence there was no separate ministry for the tribal people but it was under the Vajpayee Government that a separate ministry was formed for their welfare.

In a thread post on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“Today, on National Girl Child Day, we reiterate our commitment to keep empowering the girl child and ensure a wide range of opportunities for her. India is proud of the accomplishments of the girl child across all fields. Their feats continue to inspire us all.”

“Our Government has focused on sectors like education, technology, skills, healthcare etc which have contributed to empowering the girl child. We are equally resolute in ensuring no discrimination happens against the girl child.”
