Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi visits father of youth from Petlad subjected to atrocity by employer and police in Angola

Ahmedabad, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today acquainted himself with the extent of atrocity on Indians by their private employers and police in Angola in Africa from the father of a youth from Petlad in Anand district.

On way to attend the zonal Krishi Mahotsav held at Petlad today, Mr. Modi personally met the young man Vijaykumar Valmik’s father Chimanbhai Talpada and asked the distressed family members to take heart. It was this Petlad youth who had informed the family back home in India about the incident.

Immediately after learning about the atrocity, the Chief Minister said that his government had informed the Prime Minister to take immediate effective steps for the safety of Indians in Angola. The Gujarat Government is also continuously taking all possible steps to address the problem.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi praised the Video shared by German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Dr Philipp Ackermann, where he and members of the embassy celebrated Oscar success of the Nattu Nattu song. The video was shot in Old Delhi.

Earlier in February, Korean embassy in India also came out with a video celebrating the song

Reply to the German Ambassador's tweet, the Prime Minister tweeted :

"The colours and flavours of India! Germans can surely dance and dance well!"
