Shri Narendra Modi congratulates Mr. Shinzo Abe for leading his Party to a win in Japan’s recently concluded general elections 

Shri Modi describes Mr. Abe as a great friend of India and invites him to visit Gujarat 

Mr. Abe and Shri Modi had met during the Chief Minister’s visits to Japan in 2012 and 2007

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi congratulated leader of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party Mr. Shinzo Abe for leading the party to a resounding win in Japan’s recently concluded general elections.

In his message to Mr. Abe, the Chief Minister described Mr. Abe as a great friend of India and expressed confidence that the relation with Japan will be further strengthened in the coming years.

He extended an invite to Mr. Abe to visit Gujarat and once again invited Japan to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013.

During his visit to Japan in 2012 Shri Modi had met Mr. Abe. The 2 leaders had even met when Shri Modi visited Japan in 2007. That time Mr. Abe was the Prime Minister of Japan.

He wrote in a post on X:

Our talented athletes have brought immense pride to our nation by winning an extraordinary 55 medals, making it India's best ever performance at the games. This remarkable feat has motivated the entire nation, especially those passionate about sports.”
